Rongai Marangu Route 9 Days

Dubbed as the roof of Africa, Mt. Kilimanjaro’s Uhuru is the highest peak on the continent. Rongai Marangu route is the most scenic and beautiful route on the mountain.

Day One: Airport pick up and transfer. Overnight stay at a Nairobi Hotel.

Day Two: Pick up and Transfer to Moshi Tanzania for overnight stay.

Day Three: Transfer to Nalemoru Park Gate 1,950 Meters and proceed to First Cave Campsite 2,650 Meters for overnight stay. Walking distance 6.5 Kilometers walking time 3 to four hours.

Day Four: Departure for Kikelewa Caves 3,600 Meters, 9 Kilometers six to seven hours for overnight stay.

Day Five: Leave camp at 8:00am to Mawenzi Tarn Campsite 4,330 meters, 6 Kilometers away for 3 to four hours. Afternoon acclimatization walk takes us to about 4,500 meters and return for overnight stay.

Day Six: Head to Kibo Base Camp at 4,700 meters, 9 Kilometers for about four hours. Overnight stay and summit preparation.

Day Seven: Summit Uhuru Peak 5,895 Meters via Gillman Point and Stella Point. After Sunrise descend to Horombo huts 3,700 meters 15 kilometers for six to seven hours for overnight stay.

Day Eight: Descend to Marangu gate 1,840 Meters 20 kilometers for six to seven hours for pick up and transfer to Moshi Hotel

Day Nine: After breakfast departure for your next destination.

Machame Mweka Route 8 days

Machame Mweka route is one of the most popular routes on Mount Kilimanjaro.

 

Day One: Airport pick up and transfer. Overnight stay at a Nairobi Hotel.

Day Two: Pick up and Transfer to Moshi Tanzania for overnight stay.

Day Three: Transfer to Machame Park Gate 1,743 Meters and proceed to Machame Camp at 3,000 Meters 13 kilometers for approximately five to six hours for overnight stay.

Day Four: Departure for Shira Camp 3,800 Meters, 9 Kilometers for about five to six hours will be at 8:00am.

Day Five: Depart Shira Camp to Baranco 3,950 meters via Lava Tower for acclimatization 12 kilometers for five to six hours with an overnight stay at Baranco.

Day Six: From Baranco depart for Barafu Base Camp at 4,620 Meters, 14 Kilometers for seven to eight hours for overnight stay and summit preparation.

Day Seven: Wake up at midnight and head for sunrise at Uhuru Peak at 5,895 meters descend 15 Kilometers to Mweka Camp at 3,100Meters for overnight stay.

Day Eight: Depart from Mweka Camp to Mweka Gate, 9 Kilometers for 3 hours. You will be picked up and taken to your Hotel in Moshi.

Marangu Marangu Route 7 Days

Climbing Mount Kilimanjaro Marangu Route is the only route with Mountain Huts throughout the climb. It is also one of the most popular routes on Mount Kilimanjaro.

Day One: Airport pick up and transfer. Overnight stay at a Nairobi Hotel.

Day Two: Pick up and Transfer to Moshi Tanzania for overnight stay.

Day Three: Transfer to Marangu Gate 1,700 Meters and proceed to Mandara Hut at 2,743 Meters 7 kilometers for approximately three to four hours for overnight stay.

Day Four: Leave Mandara to Horombo Huts 3,760 Meters, 8 Kilometers and six hours for overnight stay.

Day Five: Head for Base Camp, Kibo at 4,730 meters 8 kilometers for approximately seven hours for overnight stay and summit preparation.

Day Six: Depart from Kibo Base Camp at midnight to Gillman’s point 5,681 Meters and proceed to Uhuru Peak at 5,895 Meters for approximately 6 hours. After sunrise descend to Horombo huts 14 Kilometers.

Day Seven: From Horombo Huts descend to Marangu gate for approximately five hours for pick up and drop off at the hotel in Moshi.
